We like a solution of water, white vinegar and a little liquid detergent or dishwashing soap. Simply use one part water (preferably distilled) to one part vinegar and a squirt of the dishwashing soap. Mix all this in a spray bottle for easy application.

• Start by trying to clean your windows when there are clouds, or under cover. Why? Sunlight heats up the glass and makes your cleaning solution to dry too quickly

• Then clean your window frames and tracks with a soft brush to get rid of any dust and debris. You could also use a vacuum cleaner

• Then pre-wash your windows and frames using the vinegar/water/soap solution and a sponge

• Rinse off with water

• Now you can start to use your vinegar/water solution with a squeegee

•  Always dampen the squeegee first and clean from the top down working in a side-to-side or up-and-down pattern, wiping the edge of the squeegee after every stroke

• Then dry your windows with a clean lint-free or microfibre cloth.
